Settings is the gear button at the top of the screen. If the gear isn't there, the toddler lock is on. Tap the lock button, also at the top of the screen, and pass the parental gate. The buttons across its top choose how: Hold asks you to press and hold a moving target for three seconds, Sum asks you to add two numbers, and Numbers asks you to tap four numbers written out as words. It opens on whichever one you used last. The gear comes back once the lock is off.
Turning the lock on needs no gate. With it on, a child can still move between rooms and play sounds, and settings and the detail sheets are hidden.
Open Settings, choose Restore purchases and pass the parental gate. The device has to be signed in to the Apple ID or Google account that made the purchase. The purchase screen has the same button.
Purchases go through the App Store or Google Play, so a refund is requested from Apple or Google.
If every tap has gone silent, the sleep timer has most likely run out. Taps stay silent until you pick a new time under Settings, Sleep timer, or close and reopen the app.
If the app is quieter than you expect, check Volume limit in Settings. It caps how loud the app plays, whatever the device volume is set to.
If a sound is missing altogether, it may have been hidden. Settings, Hidden sounds lists every sound you can hide and shows it again.
Settings, Request a feature opens your email app with our address filled in. If the device has no email app set up, the app copies the address instead so you can paste it into whatever you use.
Settings, Rate Hello Train opens the app's page in the App Store or Google Play, where you can leave a review. Settings, Share Hello Train opens your device's share sheet with a link to the app. Both ask you to pass the parental gate first, so a child can't leave a review or send a link by accident.
Now and then a card at the top of settings suggests one of these. Not now puts it away, and it stops appearing once you have opened the store page or the share sheet.
Hello Train comes back from the App Store or Google Play along with your other apps. If your old device was backed up to iCloud or your Google account, your settings come with it, including favorites and hidden sounds. If not, the app starts the way it did the first time you opened it.
A purchase belongs to the Apple ID or Google account that made it. Sign in to the Apple ID or Google account that made it and the app finds it again when it opens, or use Settings, Restore purchases.
If the app's icon is greyed out or shows a small cloud, your device has removed the app to save space and kept its settings. Tap the icon to download it again.
The app has no accounts and collects no data, so there is nothing of yours for us to find or delete. The privacy policy sets out what the app keeps on the device and what your device's own backup includes.
